What is yogalates?

A combination of yoga and pilates to create a perfectly balanced class. A class where the east meets West. Collaborating the gentle stretching of yoga and the core building strength of pilates to craft a class built for the ever changing body.

Breathwork

This class uses a variety of breathwork techniques to calm the nervous system and find balance to fully restore the body.

Strength building

Build strength through resistance training by using reps of up to 5. focus is on the deep abdominal muscles to build a strong core and support the spine. Develop An increased awareness on balance and stability.

Yoga:

Experience the fusion of strength and rest, as we breath deeply into challenging poses that aim to build strength, then rest using yoga postures to stretch bringing a perfect harmony to the body.

Restoration

Building strength requires rest. The class requires small intense excercise sequences to then be balanced by deep rejuvinating restful yoga poses.

Pilates

Unlike high-intensity cardio, Pilates focuses on quality of movement over quantity, usually performing 5 repetitions of each exercise with intense concentration.

Resistance training

Resistance training can be performed effectively using bodyweight exercisesdumbbells and resistance bands all of which we use in reps of 5 to gain maximum impact.

Women only class

Mixed yogalates class

for men and women

Wednesdays 7pm -8:15pm

A yogalates class for both men and women. This class provides the benefits highlighted above but with an added emphasis on either the mechanics of the body from a scientific perspective or Exploring yoga philosophy, both equally important when finding balance. Yoga philosophy provides a roadmap for personal development that transforms physical practice into a holistic path for self-discovery, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.
